Question: Where are all the white rappers, and why are they so fucking unpopular?
With the exception of Eminem (and maybe Asher Roth and Paul Wall), I can’t think of any currently relevant white rappers. But before examining the current state of Caucasian rap, let’s take a brief look at the history of whites in the rap industry.
Remember the Beastie Boys? They were the shit back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Probably the coolest Jews since Jesus and the wise men. “Sabotage” is still one of the sickest records ever.
And what about Kid Rock? Before he turned into a country-rocker-heavy-metal singer or whatever the fuck he is today, Kid Rock used to be a popular rapper on the Detroit scene. He was never that good at rap or rock, but he did end up fucking Pam Anderson, so he’s a winner in my book.
Everlast – former House of Pain member – had a hit song once in the late 90’s called “What it’s Like.” It’s actually a great song, but he fell off the map after Eminem murdered him on a diss track. RIP Whitey Ford.
Bubba Sparxxx was popular for a minute too. I always disliked his music, but he hit it off with the southern-white market for a while there. “They Aint Ready” is the only track I ever felt, but that is solely because Jadakiss was homicide on the Timbaland beat.
What about Lil Wyte, remember him? Naw, me either.
Ever hear of Necro? If you’re into death-rap, then he’s probably your hero. He makes Eminem’s “3am” seem like Tickle-me-Elmo. When I say Necro’s music is sick, I mean it literally makes you sick. Rapping about sex with colostomy bags just isn’t cool.
So that’s a quick rundown of the history of white rappers. For the most part, they all suck except Beastie Boys.
As far as the present and future goes for Anglo-rappers, it looks bleak. I consider Eminem the only relevant white rapper out right now. Asher Roth is cool for the stoner-college kid crowd, and Paul Wall is…. well, he’s Paul Wall.
Did any of y’all ever see “The White Rapper Show” on VH1 a couple years back? It was fucking hilarious. Do you remember who won? Of course you don’t, because he is cleaning the fryer at Wendy’s right now.
The point is if you’re white and you want to be a rapper, I wouldn’t suggest putting all your eggs into that basket, bro.

If a white rapper was good and had the right backing, they’d be popular right now. The White Rapper show, John Brown got robbed by Shamrock. John Brown was the most skilled out of all of them, Shamrock was the white gucci mane. Thats why white rappers suck, haha.
But yeah I wanna see more white rappers and asian rappers and female rappers, the more diversity the more hip-hop can grow.
Nobody likes wanna-be gangsters.
Eminem actually has merit. He dosnt seem phony to me. Dosnt try too hard.
Some white rappers are ill though. They just dont sell well.

i remember he was popular when i was in 2nd grade, and all the kids knew the words to “ice ice baby” except me. i felt left out, but now i realize that i was the winner in that situation because vanilla ice was a fucking failure.

Eminem became big so early because he was white and Dre signed him (so it was like the opposite of a normal white man signs black rapper) the decision came from an expert in the rap game. nowadays, though people realise that white rappers can make it and they take advantage of that, but it was good because it was rare and a novelty and very few white rappers are real coz they play they’re fake gangsta street thing off.
i personally think white rappers SHOULD be rare coz then only the best get sieved out and they make a huge impact on hip-hop.

and secondly…anybody seen Paul Wall lately? I saw his video called bizzy body with webbie…How the FUCK did Wall get so fuckin FAT? He fell off…lol
Those are all white dudes that made a name for themselves. Idk why people try to say that hip-hop has to be all black cuz that’s where it started. People were doing rhyme battles in scottish pubs in the 1800s.
Also I see some ppl here say that the balck rappers are gritty and real or whatever not the white ones. But I dont see complaining when they rhyme over a white producers beats….Alchemist etc.
